ENROLLMENT IN SINGLE COURSES A.Y. 2023/2024

According to the current Academic Manifesto: "Enrollment in individual courses offered in the first year of restricted-access degree programs is subject to availability after the admission procedures for the A.Y. 2023/2024 have concluded. To enroll in single courses within restricted-access programs, authorization (clearance) from the course’s academic administration is required." Therefore, to accommodate any requests for single courses, the School will issue clearances corresponding to the number of available spots unfilled by matriculating students in each degree program.

On February 19, 2024, the School received communication from the University's Student Selection Office detailing the number of available spots following the closure of the 2023/2024 restricted-access program rankings.

Requests must be submitted by correctly completing an application form (Google Form) https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeL1Go1NMCTA99RqoJQcI8dR2f_PPStHGSntn-N1HaH0BD4ww/viewform?usp=sf_link, which will open on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at 10:00 AM.

Within the Google Form, applicants must upload the completed "Single Course Clearance Request Form" along with a valid identity document.

  1. Requests will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
  2. The applicant must specify the degree program offering the courses requested.
  3. Each request for clearance cannot exceed a total of 30 ECTS credits of coursework.
  4. Enrollment in single courses applies only to courses offered in the A.Y. 2023/2024. Students can take exams to earn credits until the last exam session (April 30, 2025). After this date, enrollment in single courses expires.
  5. Available courses for the A.Y. 2023/2024 under the School of Psychology can be found on this page: select "Psychology" from the "School of ……" dropdown menu.

IMPORTANT:

  • Only courses with a final grade (no pass/fail evaluations) are eligible as single courses.
  • Integrated exams (comprising two modules) may only be taken in full; the integrated exam code (not the generic module code) must be indicated. Exams will include partial assessments for both modules, which may take place on the same day or on different days, with the final integrated grade representing the average of the partial assessments. Certification cannot be issued for exams unless all components of the integrated exam have been completed. Alternatively, single-discipline exams marked as “only for free-choice activities” may be selected (these exams are duplicates of the integrated exam modules).

Upon successful completion of the application, the clearance can be obtained from the Psychology School's Academic Office.

Furthermore, as stipulated in the current Academic Manifesto, it is noted that: "Students enrolled in single courses take exams under the same conditions as students in degree programs. Students enrolled in single courses may only take exams included in the academic offerings of the enrollment year. Enrollment in partial modules or specifying a credit number lower than that established for each course is not permitted."

Lastly, as specified in the current Academic Manifesto, it is noted that:

A) A student enrolled in a degree program at the University cannot simultaneously enroll in single courses from other degree programs within the University.

B) A student enrolled in a degree program at the University may simultaneously enroll in single courses at a different university.

C) A student enrolled in a degree program at another university may enroll in single courses at this University.
