Course Content
Different theories about the concept of culture. The culture in the global context: local and global, change and continuity. The relationship between modernity and cultural differences. Cultural models and beliefs systems. Main dimensions of cultural variability. Cultural identity as a relationship. Systems of managing differences: from psycholoical level to policies of integration. Intercultural communication: comminicative acting in the cultural context.

Knoledge of different theoric models about the concept of culture, particularly from different points of view: psychological, anthropological, sociological. Knowledge of the immigration problems in Italy and ability to link it to different systems of managing difference.
