Starting from March 2020, only those who have obtained a bachelor's/master's degree from the University of Florence will be admitted to submit applications for post-graduate internships required for state examinations for professional qualification as a Doctor in Psychological Sciences and Techniques (Register B). (Resolution of the School of Psychology Council, April 3, 2019) |
To undertake the post-graduate internship, it is necessary to submit a request to one of the Affiliated Institutions to receive confirmation of availability from the chosen institution.
It is advisable to submit requests for new affiliation well in advance of the internship start date (at least 7 months prior) and to consider alternative solutions within the affiliated institutions.
Interns are encouraged to contact the entity/organization's secretariat for updates on the status of the affiliation and whether it has been approved or rejected by the Integrated University-Order Commission.
Once availability from the affiliated institution is confirmed, the following documentation must be prepared and uploaded into the form within one of the designated submission windows:
The signed application, complete with all attachments, must be scanned and uploaded via the designated form within the submission windows indicated.
(Available from January 10, 2025)
Deadlines for form submission and document upload:
Graduates must meet the deadlines even if submitting applications with a degree completion reservation (attaching the self-certification of the act of notoriety mentioned in point 6).
After the form submission deadline, the internal Internship Commission will evaluate the uploaded documentation and send an email to each intern (from tirocini@psico.unifi.it) before the internship start date, informing them if the documentation is approved or requires additions, corrections, or clarifications.
During the summer vacation period (July-August), the email will still be sent before the internship starts.
The intern must forward the received email to the Host Institution and the Psychologist Supervisor to confirm that the internship has been approved and may begin on the official start date. Please note that the Internship Office will not send any emails to the institutions or supervisors.
Only after receiving the email from tirocini@psico.unifi.it confirming the application's approval must the intern send the original documents by registered mail (RR) to the following address: School of Psychology - Internship Office - Via della Torretta 16 - 50137 Florence
Alternatively, documents may be hand-delivered to the School of Psychology Internship Office at Via della Torretta 16, Florence, by booking an appointment via the Google Calendar link.
Original documents may be delivered even after the internship starts (preferably within one month).
Before delivery, a photocopy of the internship logbook must be made, as it may be required when applying for the State Exam for Register B or for future reference.
If delegating another person for delivery, a letter must include:
Incomplete documents will not be accepted.
At the beginning of the internship, the diary must be downloaded online to record daily attendance and related activities.
At the end of the six-month internship, the logbook must be completed with original signatures (pen, not scanned, photocopied, or digital) and institution stamps. Daily activities may be recorded electronically.
The logbook should be submitted or sent only at the end of the entire six-month internship according to the instructions provided on the web page.
