The active citizenship project Students4Students, promoted by the "Le Mille e una Rete" Association in collaboration with the University of Florence, involves students who participate in providing free tutoring support for Primary and Secondary School students, with the possibility of receiving recognition in the form of CFUs within their University course upon completion of the experience.
Only students enrolled in the Master's degree programs under the old system (i.e., students enrolled in academic years prior to the current 2023/24) are allowed to participate in the project with a recognition of 6 CFUs as part of the "Training Internships" activity, after completing 150 hours of tutoring. The study of materials on professional ethics, published on the School's website in the section for Master's degree internships (old system), is also required.
Interested students can follow the procedure outlined below.
With the advent of the reform for the enabling Master's degree, unfortunately, there is no longer the possibility for other enrolled students to have the experience recognized as a Practical Evaluative Internship (TPV).
However, it remains possible for any of our students to join the Students4Students project as a simple volunteer activity (unfortunately no longer useful for recognition in the Master's degree career).
How to Join the Project
Interested students can join by writing to firenze@students4students.it and copying stage@psico.unifi.it. Applications must be sent from the student’s official university email address (name.surname@edu.unifi.it). The subject of the email should specify: "Joining the Students4Students project - Name and Surname."
For students enrolled in the Master's degree under the old system, at the end of the experience, the Association will send the Psychology School a certificate verifying the completion of the tutoring activity, allowing for CFU recognition by the Study Program. As mentioned above, students enrolled in the old system Master's degree must also complete professional ethics and supervision activities.
