Internship Diary

The daily attendance and related activities performed during the Evaluative Practical Internship (TPV) and Post-graduation Internship must be recorded in the diary logbook. The last day of activity should match the date indicated in the Internship Project.

What to do at the start of the internship

At the beginning of the internship, it is necessary to download the appropriate Diary Logbook, ensuring that you choose the correct logbook for your type of internship.

Each type of internship has its own specific logbook, which differs from others: TPV 750 hours, Post-graduation one year, Abroad, single semester six months, Albo B.

At the end of each period, the logbook must be completed with the official stamps of the host organization and the original handwritten signatures (no initials, no scanned or photocopied versions, no digital signatures).

It is allowed to fill out daily activities on the computer.

The Diary Logbook should be submitted or sent to the Internship Office of the School at the end of the entire internship period (for example, after completing all 750 hours, even if carried out in two different structures).

Evaluative Practical Internship (TPV) 750 hours Master's Degree LM/51 (Albo A)

Note: For the final evaluation, make sure to have the stamp from the tutor or host organization next to their signature.

Post-graduation internship (one year) Specialist Degree 58/S and old 5-year degree (before DM 509/99) (Albo A)

What to do at the end of the internship

The Diary Logbook must be submitted or sent to the Internship Office as soon as possible after completing all the hours of activity, along with the Tutor Evaluation for the TPV (with suitability for PPV), complete with host organization stamps and original signatures of the tutor and the legal representative (signed in full, by hand on paper, no photocopies), in one of the following ways:

  • Registered mail (A/R) to the following address:
School of Psychology, University of Florence
    Internship Office
    Via della Torretta, 16
    50137 Florence
  • In person at the Internship Office of the School of Psychology at Via della Torretta 16, Florence, by scheduling an appointment via Google Calendar.

For Delegation to another person, submit a letter indicating:

  • Full details of the delegating person (intern or graduate): name, surname, date and place of birth, address.
  • Full details of the delegate (the person receiving the delegation): name, surname, date and place of birth.
  • The purpose of the delegation (e.g., submission of internship documents).
  • Photocopy of the identity document of the delegating person (intern or graduate).

Incomplete documents (without original signatures and stamps) will not be accepted.

It is recommended to keep a photocopy of the Diary Logbook for personal use.

Important Reminder: If you are participating in the Evaluative Practical Exam (PPV) or the State Exam (formerly known as the "Esame di Stato"), the original application documents and the Diary Logbook with the Tutor's Evaluation and suitability, must be submitted to the Internship Office in a timely manner, to allow for the necessary verifications and to confirm your eligibility to the University Secretariat (where the exam application was submitted) prior to the exam date.

Internship Certification for the State Exam/PPV

Due to Law 183/2011, Article 15 (de-certification), it is not possible to issue a certificate for completed internships as certificates are not issued between public administrations. Therefore, the intern who needs to take the State Exam or the Evaluative Practical Exam (PPV) at the University of Florence or any other university, must self-certify the completion of the internship following the procedure indicated in the University Call. It will be the responsibility of that university to verify the self-certification through internal communication with the Internship Office of the School of Psychology.
