International Mobility

The School of Psychology promotes the international mobility of students and faculty within community programs and cultural collaborations. In this section, you will find the main information about international mobility programs for students and faculty.

The ERASMUS+ Program allows students regularly enrolled at the University of Florence to spend a study period at a higher education institution (Erasmus+ Study or Extra-EU Mobility) or to undertake internships in businesses, training centers, and research institutions (Erasmus+ Traineeship) in a participating country of the Erasmus Program and partner of the University of Florence.

Each year, three different announcements are issued by the university to which students can apply.

ERASMUS+ STUDYING ABROAD

During the period abroad, the student remains regularly enrolled at the host institution, allowing them to attend courses, take exams, conduct thesis research, engage in practical activities, and utilize student services. The duration of the stay abroad must be a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 12 months. The actual duration is determined by the bilateral agreements between the two universities.

ERASMUS+ TRAINEESHIP ABROAD

The student undertakes internship activities under the supervision of a tutor in the host country. The duration of the stay abroad must be a minimum of 2 months and a maximum of 12 months. This opportunity can be used to complete the curricular internship abroad or one of the mandatory post-graduate internship semesters required to access the State Exams for the profession of psychologist.

EXTRA-EU INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY

It is possible to undertake a period of study abroad by participating in the university announcement for extra-European mobility. The partner institutions of the School of Psychology are in Australia (University of Sydney), Brazil (Universidade Federal Do ABC- UFABC), Japan (Kanazawa University), and the United States (University of Montana).
