Course Content
The course aims to deepen the practical implications of translational research in the life span psychology. We will analyze different models of intervention design, enhance students’ skills in relation to different steps of intervention planning and evaluation. In particular we will consider the new models of intervention planning in social and health sciences and the standards of evidence for the evaluation of efficacy, effectiveness, and going to scale trials.

Knowledge and understanding
The course aims to promote knowledge:
1) On the various design strategies in the field of psychological interventions, the different evaluation methods (interview, interview, questionnaires, tests, etc..,) relevant for need analysis, monitoring and final evaluation of interventions.
2) On different methodology of intervention with attention on developmental contexts (families, school, community context).
Knowledge and understanding of applied concepts
The course promotes the ability to use the knowledge and the methodology to design interventions for specific needs
Making judgments
Ability to critically evaluate possible alternatives through discussion of examples of interventions
Communication skills
Knowing how to communicate the relevance of intervention aims and the effectiveness of the project
Ability to learn
Acquiring skills for training and continuous learning
