Learning Objectives
The program of the course is aimed at achieving specific knowledge and skills in the field of prevention and rehabilitation of Specific Learning Disorders and aims to provide adequate knowledge regarding learning difficulties and disorders. The training course aims to increase the theoretical knowledge and the therapeutic management capacity of the individual learning disorders, in the different age groups. The course aims to provide knowledge on typical and atypical functioning in the learning field by comparing specific disorders with secondary ones, to make students aware of the meaning and the ways in which it is possible to do primary prevention, to provide students with the methodological coordinates for a correct evaluation of learning difficulties and disorders, as well as the distinction between the two, to have an overview of the possible lines of enabling intervention. The course will allow to plan the assessment of disorders and school difficulties, to understand how to implement effective prevention and intervention projects in relation to the expressions of the disorder in different age groups, to plan prevention, habilitation, rehabilitation and counseling for the taking charge of the entire rehabilitation process, with a view to EBP. interventions and initiatives, providing the technical tools for immediate operation, towards the DSA.

Those who gave the exam in the first months of the year 2019, are informed about the release of the new edition of the Cornoldi 'Difficulty and Learning Disorders' manual.
Type of Assessment
Oral examination during which the student must demonstrate knowledge of the learning disabilities described in the manuals, the mental functions and the impairment of the same, must be able to describe the main instruments of prevention, evaluation and intervention described in the texts.
