Knowledge of major theories and methodological approaches which make up the social health psychology, positive psychology and the construct of psychological well-being.

Reflection on the main fields of application: from prevention (stress and hardship of life in different contexts) to the promotion of psychological well-being.

Development of skills of critical reading of the phases design, implementation and evaluation of psychosocial interventions for the prevention or the promotion of psychological well-being .

Course program
The course will provide insight and reflection on the social psychology of health, on positive psychology and biopsychosocial model (from prevention to promotion of psychological well-being). As part of the lectures will cover topics related behaviors that affect health, beliefs, attitudes, social representations and practices relating to health and disease. Will provide examples of specific research and intervention on different targets, aimed at different age and produced in various contexts (school, workplace, community). Students, either individually or in small groups, active participation will be required.
