Learning Objectives
The aim of this course is to offer a basic knowledge of child neuropsychiatry to be applied in different areas of the discipline (health service, private practice, educational). An additional objective is to also stimulate a thourough knowledge of the various topics of the course, by reading specific contributions to the literature.

Course program
Basic elements of child neuropsychiatry are provided, including neuroanatomy and neurophysiology, the study of sleep activity, attachment and eating disorders, motor and sensorial disorders, paroxysmal disorders of the nervous system, psychiatric disorders and severe developmental disability, including intellectual disability and autism. Diagnostic and clinical assessment basics tips will also be provided.
