Learning Objectives
Knowledge and understanding
The course aims to introduce students to the advanced issues of psychometric theory. Students who attend this course with profit (i) will be introduced to the theoretical models for test development, (ii) for the test adaptation, and (iii) will know the psychometric characteristics of some widely used psychological tests.
Applying knowledge and understanding
The course will provide students with the skills necessary to evaluate the properties of the tests for psychological assessment applying R-commander
Making judgments
This course aims to help students in developing a critical understanding of the practical and conceptual meaning of measurement in psychology. Students who attend this course profitably will know some of the themes of the debate on theoretical, ethical and professional issues of the psychological assessment.
Communication skills
The course will discuss some examples of how to report the analysis results.

The topics discussed in the course of Psychological Tests are preliminary to the study of more advanced topics of theory and psychometric method.
